Bulgaria has attracted 2.2% of the foreign direct investment that entered Europe in 2004. This ranks the country on 15th place from all countries on the European continent, Earnst&Young reported. Western Europe remains the most desired investment zone, yet declining with 5% to 63% of the preferences of 650 leading managers worldwide.
