The gross domestic product of Bulgaria for the first half of 2005 rose with 6.2% towards the same period of 2004 and amounts to 18.4 billion Leva, announced the National Statistical Institute. This is the highest growth achieved in the country since 1998, when the growth was 9.9% on annual base.
